Special Notes To Machine Embroiderers
Concerning Basic Copyright Law

Of the multitude of different Crafts, Craftsmen and Hobbyists that use our Patterns we are most frequently asked by Machine/Computer Controlled Embroidery enthusiasts if it is permissible to use our Patterns for their craft.

Just as with any and all Crafts and Hobbies the answer is two-fold, both Yes and No apply.
  

What Is Permissible:
"1. Our Patterns are for End Use by Hobbyists and Craftsmen only."

The key phrase here is "End Use", this means that you are the Final and Only user of the Pattern or Design to create something using our Pattern. You may use our Patterns to 
create anything you like, as long as you are the Final and Only person to use our
Patterns for the creation.

"2. Hobbyists and Craftsman may sell their Finished Items or Finished Projects that
      use our Patterns!"

Combined with the concept of "End Use" is "Finished Items or Projects", this means that you as the craftsman can create and sell Finished Items/Wares/Products/Articles
that use our Patterns.  

Finished Items/Wares/Products/Articles can include finished embroidered patches, clothing, linens, ball caps, towels, table cloths, jackets, framed and un-framed wall hangings and
similar:  Cloth & Thread - Sewn Out - Completely Finished Embroidered Items.

For Example:
If you use one of our Patterns and make a 100 Completely Finished Embroidered Ball Caps and sell the Completely Finished  Embroidered Ball Caps for $19.95 each, this is perfectly
permissible.
  
Another Example:
If you use one of our Patterns and make 20 Completely Finished Embroidered Jackets
and sell the Completely Finished  Embroidered Jackets for $100.00 each, this is perfectly
permissible.
  

What Is Not Permissible:
"4. Our Patterns are fully Copyrighted. And may not be, in part or in whole
    distributed, redistributed, published, republished, copied, reproduced,
    altered or modified and sold or otherwise made available to others
    in any form for any purposes as Patterns or Designs of any sort,
    or for any purposes whatsoever."

1.  Digitizing our Pattern does NOT constitute a "Finished Product".
2.  Digitizing our Pattern and making it available to others is NOT "End Use".
3.  Digitizing our Pattern is the modification and altering of our Pattern to form a
     'Pattern or Design' suitable for use in various Machine/Computer Controlled
      Embroidery equipment.

Just to restate and to clarify, it is a Violation of Copyright Law and is Illegal to Digitize our Patterns and sell them, distribute them, or otherwise make our Patterns available to others
AS "Patterns or Designs" of any sort, for others to use.

Nobody has license to sell or distribute our patterns.
Our Patterns are fully Copyrighted.
